In truth, we do not love because of guarantee.
There is no guarantee in love, neither for the fulfillment of our pleasures, nor salvation.
In truth, there is no ultimate guarantee that the one we love will never hurt or disappoint us.
And thus, to love deeply in its full spectrum- to feel the full weight of passion and attacthement, joy and sorrow, inspiration and hopelessness, strength and vulnerability..
Is to be able to be destroyed at the hands of another. Perhaps not permanently destroyed, but destroyed yet.
Love itself may lead one to an endless series of deaths and rebirths for the sake of refining ones own entity.
All is impermanent. Yet still I choose life to touch my naked soul.
It is profound indeed..
That the bravest act is to love in the face of uncertainty.
And when your uncertain love surpasses the desire to achieve your own ends, and begins to love simply for the sake of love itself - for the pure adoration of another's being and the gratitude at their existence..regardless of outcome..
Yet you also hold yourself as gently as the one whom you adore..
And recognize the spirit in all things..
Then you begin to taste paradise.
