So, earlier today I walked over to the local craft supply store for resupply reasons. Pretty windy day, a bit nippy, but that's winter in Colorado. Well, when it's not being sunny and warm or white-out conditions. Honestly, Colorado weather, make up your mind.
I digress(I do that a lot, you'll probably get used to it). On my way back, bag of stuff in hand, wind in my face, thanks, I see a brownish dog, almost black, across the road from me. It was just chillin', being a dog. It had a pink collar, so I know it must have belonged to someone nearby but there was nobody in sight, except me. Weird. The dog looks up, sees me, goes back to sniffing around and jumping in the snow. I go on my way, think nothing of it, until I see another dog, this one almost white. Unlike the other, this one was staring me down from across the street, and for a few paces I thought I was going to have a closer encounter with it than I would have liked, but it stayed its ground, just stared. It had a green collar, probably belonged to the same people as the pink-collar one. Made my way home without incident, though I did spy the neighborhood black cat all the way down the street. Easy thing to do with snow on the ground.
Now, I didn't think much of this for a while. Though it was utterly bizarre, stranger things have happened, believe it or not, and while I do take many things as Signs, I try not to get too excited about every slightly off occurrence. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar and all that. But a few minutes ago I was doing tarot, trying to get a clue about a Certain Someone Upstairs who's been trying to get my attention from the Astral for so long She decided the best way would be by smacking me over the head with the cosmic clue-by-four and/or Thor's hammer, and the Archer comes up (I use the Wildwood tarot a lot, by the way). In a normal deck, it would be the Chariot, so the whole, "we're in this together," "we're going to work together here," message wasn't lost on me, but then I realized...
Ding ding ding! Do you see what I see? Because I see two dogs, one sniffing around the undergrowth, the other wide awake and alert. That ringing in my ears is the sound of the synchronicity alarm going off.
Now, this is awesome all on it's own, but I've been struggling with this card since the first day I got this deck. Suddenly I join Paradigm Shift, start getting all sorts of messages from the Lady of Death about, guess what, shifting paradigms, and suddenly all of the things make a bit more sense. I'm in the right place, at the right time, and that's abundantly clear to me now.
So with all that said: Hello, Shifters. I'm Erik. I communicate with astral/possibly extra-dimensional beings, and tend to see my life and the symbols in it as one massive allegory. I bring a slightly different energy to the table, it seems. Also, I have next to no idea what I'm doing, so bear with me if this or any other post is in the wrong category/a little off/completely missing the point. All I know is that I'm here, and I'm gonna try to change the world with you.
Namaste, my friends.
